AUDI RS4 RESTORATION
Our latest arrival, a 4.2-litre V8 Audi RS4 with only 30,000 miles from new.
We have been tasked with the following upgrades:
• Full respray in Audi Mugello Blue, flat and polish finish
• To re-trim interior in Porcelain MB Nappa Leather
• To repaint interior seat plastic trim parts to match new leather colour
• To supply and fit new dark blue seat belts
• To supply and fit new carpets
• To supply and fit new dark blue Convertible hood and new rear glass
• To install new radio and head-unit with steering wheel integration and reversing camera installation
• Carbon Fibre Reskin of interior dash panels
• To refurbish and repaint alloy wheels in gunmetal grey

Once the car is in colour, over 30 hours were spent dead flat and polishing the fresh paintwork using a hand block.
A far superior finish to factory.
Re-fit
Soft Top Replacement
To match the new exterior colour, the owner has opted for a correct Audi Blue Twillfast Mohair hood. Sourced from Germany.
Alloy Wheel Refurbishment
To re-colour the original 19" alloy wheels and finished in light gunmetal grey. (Medium Anthracite)
We will chemically strip to bare metal, inspect for cracks or welding repairs required, prepare by hand to remove kerb rash and powder coat primer.
Then applying paint and acrylic powder coat lacquer finish.

To retrim complete interior using Porcelain" Nappa Leather 1194 - as supplied by UK Hide.
Centres (back and base) of each seat to be sewn with a diamond quilt pattern.
We will also replace the existing carpets with new blue carpet.

Interior brushed Aluminium trim to be re-skinned in Carbon Fibre
When we 'skin' your equipment with carbon fibre what we are doing is applying a coat on top of your part with carbon fibre and epoxy resin. A carbon fibre 'skin' is created that will be stuck permanently to the original part but with a stylish, glossy appearance.
To get the skinned part to a smooth, glossy finish we need to complete the whole process by hand, finished in lacquer then flat and polished.

Seat Belt Replacement
To match the new exterior colour, the owner has opted for a new blue seat belt.
Our seatbelts are all E4 ECE R16 safety rated and compliant and are marked on each seatbelt.
Painting of interior plastics
As the car is being re-trimmed in Porcelain" Nappa Leather, the existing interior plastic trims need to match.
We took a sample of leather, got it colour matched and paint made up, and painted each and every individual part. Finished in a rubberised texture for that factory appearance and feel. This is also much easier to clean than a flat paint finish.
Installation of DAB/ Apple CarPlay Head unit and Reversing Camera
Although this car was produced in 2007, sadly it lacked some modern technology and driver convenience.
We took the decision to install a replacement Kenwood DMX8020DABS head-unit with steering wheel integration, DAB aerial and a reversing camera.
